Do you see a house with a roof that is collapsed? Or lots of broken windows? Or an overflowing mailbox? A yard with overgrown grass or one strewn with litter could indicate a vacant property. These are all telltale signs that no one is living there any more.
Even handmade “For Sale” or “For Rent” signs are excellent indications that the owner of the property wants to sell their house fast.
So what do you need to do to cash in? It’s so simple: just write down the address and send it to me. I track down the owner, make a deal on the house, settle on the property and give you $500!

#2 Way to Earn Money Finding Houses
Make me an introduction. If you have a family member, friend or colleague who has a house that needs to be sold quickly, please introduce me to them ASAP. If I can make a deal on a house that you found me via an introduction to someone you know, I will pay you 10% of my fee – up to $1,000 – when I close on the property. I’m sure you could use an extra $1,000, right?
Why do these people want to sell? They may have inherited an unwanted house from an older or deceased relative. Perhaps they have a house that just has repairs they can’t afford, like a new roof or nonfunctioning HVAC system, and they just want to cash out and move on.

There are also some other rules regarding the types of properties that I pay for.
In the simplest terms, any property you locate for me CANNOT be listed with a realtor (on the MLS or otherwise), it cannot be listed online (Facebook, Craigslist, FSBO, etc.) and it cannot be a mobile home. It has to be OFF MARKET, meaning that I am the only one that knows it is potentially for sale by owner.
Is This a Legitimate Way to Make Money?
I have personally paid out $2,500 in 2022 to folks who have found me properties. An old colleague found me two houses for sale by owner in Maryland, via introductions, and I paid him $1,500. The two properties were in Annapolis and Fredrick. I also paid $1,000 to a hockey teammate and his wife for bringing me an old property owned by their family in Hyattsville.
